On a phone in on the Matthew Wright show ( CH5) this morning a woman phoned in & said she spends £8 per week on lottery tickets, and has done for 18 years. She has only won one £50 prize in all that time.

It made me think just how much over the years has she spent?

Anyone good at maths?

On the other hand had she given the £8 directly to a charity over that time, she'd be an extra £50 down now !

Some folk just fritter their 10 grand away on food, drink, clothes, shelter, and stuff.

On the bright side, her £7+ grand spend, through lottery funding, has bought the equivalent of Bradley Wiggin's Olympic Time Trial bike... minus the front wheel... and most of the running gear... and the carbon handlebars.
