Evening Classes - any suggestions?

I want to do an evening class after work in London and I was wondering whether any one had any suggestions for something interesting and unusual. I don't want to do any languages and I'd ideally like to learn a new skill. I work in publishing so do masses of reading in the evenings so it would need to be something that didn't involve any homework but i can't think of anything fun and interesting enough...

What about painting classes... that would be nice and relaxing.  Wouldn't have thought you would have much homework with that?  Hope you enjoy it whatever you do.

I did a Sign Language course and that was good, plus it meant learning a new skill. It was quite good fun and interesting.

I used to do belly dancing classes,its good fun and exercise,just searched on jeeves theres a few in london.

S-A-L-S-A does wonders! I went to Clapham College, South London, one night a week, met loads of people and a great laugh and now show off at evety oppourtunity!  ;-)

What about yoga?  My wife did it for a couple of years when I was learning Spanish as a hobby, and she loved it!

Why don't you approach this from the other way round - I mean, find out what courses are on in suitable locations, either near where you work or near where you live.  Maybe once you see what's on offer you may be inspired to sign up to something you hadn't thought of!

my honest suggestion would be something like plumbing or carpentry - something really satisfyingly practical that would also save you a fortune...?
