I'm very sorry to hear that it's Alzheimers. my Dad was tested for that and thank God it came back negative. Just the strokes. Very hard going though. I pity anyone with an Alzheimers patient. That moment that you realize they don't know you. Sometimes my Dad points at a picture of my Mum and says, "Who's that?" It's awful.
I'm sorry, I've seen recent posts where I thought it was your Dad. I must have misread, dreadful apologies. I lost my Mum in '07. Dad was bereft as she was always the strong one.
On the day she died, a doctor explored my Mum's body. We were told that she had 'a mass' in her bowel. I'm just glad that the heart failure took her first. Losing her hair would have been a large blow to her esteem.
