We don't want bloody tourists in the winter.......it is the best time of the year for Menorcan residents.

ME??? you'd have spotted me alright, I am well known :-(
Sorry neti I meant sqad in Es Migjorn Gran. So how will we spot you in Ibiza? And why the sad face?
My experience of the Balearics between November - February is the odd local and ex-pat knocking about looking curiously at you wondering why the hell you are on the Island! Canaries will have a better climate and more things do to. That said if the weather is not your top priority and you want to visit a very quiet place, paying over the odds for flights (as budget airlines dont go until around Easter). Why not.
Would you beleive, my parents are off to Majorca to see friends in Feb. I would imagine that staying with friends is a better option than going and searching out tourist "hot spots", which in Feb dont exsist. I went to Majorca rock climbing in Feb about 6 years ago and apart from our excursions in the day time to the climbing areas, there was naff all to do in the evening, only 2 bars (out of perhaps 20 that would be open peak season) were open for food and drinks. One of which only did food on certain nights and the other closed at 10pm every night.
canary islands are warm this time of year, try there..
