Anyone on AB had this problem last weekend?

I was away last weekend, but found that on my return and switching on my television I was greeted with a purple screen! I put it down to a problem with Sky as Freeview was working OK.

I searched on the internet and found how to get the picture back on Sky. Apparently there had been a software update installed. I thought nothing more about it, but then after a couple of days I discovered everything on my planner recorded before last Saturday had been wiped.

Getting on to Sky they confirmed that they'd had problems, including planned programmes being wiped from Sky boxes, but there was nothing they could do, and that included any sort of compensation!

I just wondered how many people were affected by this botched update?

if ever I have any probs with sky I always threaten to leave them....they soon sort out some compo in the form of one of their packages half price for three months!

No problems like that here.
Just to add, that's given me palpitations, the thought of losing all my recorded programmes, noooooo.
