I wondered if anyone else has found they need the loo more in this cold/snowy weather. I've been weeing for England today even though I haven't drunk that much. Is this a well known phenomenon, or just me?

It happens to me too.
lower temperatures always affect my bladder

i have 'been' hundreds of times in the last five days
Yep, and me.
Yup peeing for England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales!!
Yep, me and that loo seat have got to know each other very well over the past few days!
Better still when you have a couple of pints of cold lager !.
There must be some physiological reason for it. We need a doctor!

Hmm... Well we sweat to get rid of water in the summer, and don't sweat in the cold, so maybe the water we are drinking is just not being used as much as normal, so it's weed out! In summer we need to drink more. Maybe in cold weather our bodies need less water?!
Yepp! It is normal.

Why? blood vessels on the skin close up to preserve heat and the blood is re-routed to the kidneys.....more kidney blood flow.....more urine...more peeing.

Sqad- even if we are warm in a centrally heated house?!
Scarlett..........good point....never thought of that....;-)

No, if you stay in the warm room all the time, then you shouldn't pass more water.....
