Just watched the 3rd episode on BBC I player. In one scene one of the characters was scratched on the left side of his face, later on the scratches were on the right side, then back to the left. Rubbish continuity or what. Great programme though! Anyone else notice this, or did I imagine it?
I didn't notice at all. I'm extremely unobservant of that sort of thing :c) Great show I agree, I think it's the only thing at the moment I remember to tune in to.
Can't believe I spotted it, usually like you China and am oblivious to any mistakes. I agree Ludwig, you would have thought the actor would realise, must have been concentrating on remembering his lines!
Was it a whole scene or just a shot lasting a few seconds? I have occasionally noticed in adverts that a shot has been flipped horizontally - you can tell by the way buttons are done up, for example - and that would be done in post-production.
First of all you saw him getting scratched on the left side of his face in a fight, and then later he appeared with scratches (correctly) on the left side.
Later still, in another fairly long scene the scratches had moved to the right.
Grandad Yiddo and I also enjoy it. They mentioned Commisioner Warren, didn't he resign or get sacked during the "Ripper" murders? I thought this was supposed to be post 1888.
One thing I was a bit surprised about was the venetian blinds in Reed's office, but looking it up I see that a patent was applied for (and presumably granted) in 1888 - somehow it didn't look to me as it it was the type of police station to welcome new technology! But loving the series! (and I also noticed the scratches changing sides.)
