did anyone watch Panorama on BBC one last evening, regarding illegal immigrants, and criminal gangs who are preying on those who want to leave UK. Paul Kenyon certainly got up close and personal, i wonder what the border agencies and police think about the film and what the reporter discovered.

perhaps as they saw it was me as opposed to AOG, sorry mate, it was brushed aside, only joking.....
actually it wasn't so much eye opening, but in parts very annoying, that the border agencies just can't keep up, that the British government seems at a loss over it's immigration policies, and that more people are here illegally than ever. That many are being exploited by their own, like the bstard criminal people smugglers, and the asian woman who was caught bang to right over running a prostitution ring, who i believe was also here illegally. I wonder whether any of these people are in custody, or do they like so many just disappear into the grey economy...
Just seen thread.
Didn't see programme.
Yes immigration is a legitimate concern.

it should concern many, some of these people have been here for years, have not been able to contribute in any way to Britain, and many want to go home but seem caught in a catch 22. Paul Kenyon the reporter posed as a Lithuanian national, and was taken to see these decidedly dodgy people traffickers, quoting a small fortune to get him back to Lithuania presumably.
One African bloke was like a boomerang, he had landed in Ireland, then came to the British mainland. He wasn't allowed to stay by the authorities so bounced back to Ireland, then once again illegally bounced back here, that well worn phrase you couldn't make it up comes to mind. He is still in UK and has been for ten years. Tip of iceberg also comes to mind.
