I think you've met the criteria for choosing your Av, pat.

Someone else will be able to help, go to gravatar.com select the image, make it a G rating, make sure the email address with gravatar is the same that you used for registering with AB and wait a wee while for it to appear.

I looked just like you when I joned AB too! It's an embryo stage beyond which some never progress..
What you need is an Avatar.
Find a pic or symbol that pleases you and save it somewhere on your computer.
Google 'Gravatar' and join them using the same email address that you gave for AB and go through their rigmarole for uploading pics.
Shortly after you will be your chosen image.
