Place the salmon steaks in an oven-proof dish, lightly season and pour over some melted butter. Sprinkle the salmon with the crushed vol-au-vents.
Bake in an oven for 15 minutes at gas mark 6.
Salmon will be perfectly cooked, melt-in-the-mouth, with a crispy flavoursome topping.
