If anything like last year they birds stayed away
I shall do two separate hours, late afternoon today and tomorrow. I will put some more food out about three o'clock on both days, do the hour ,with binoculars in hand and then send in the best result.
This morning whilst I've been sitting here the Greater Spotted Wood *** has been feeding and so have the pair of Blackcaps which seem to have taken up residence in the garden. Also had the usual squabbling Blackbirds and Robins.
We had three Fieldfares in the garden on Thursday but I bet I won't see them today. They are beautiful birds.
LOL tilly, I don't think there's a category for *** - the censor's working overtime!
I wondered where the *** came from!
I'll try again. Greater Spotted Woodpecker.
Did you write P***** as a separate word? I'll try writing woodpecker...
LOL, there's two...
The censor's obviously gone off to make a cup of tea.
...or throw out some seeds....
Yes, boxy. The censor might be a twitcher too.

Has anyone ever seen a Lesser Spotted Woodpecker. I never have. Apparently they are about the size of a chaffinch.
