Just A Thought

Can you sue a school for not noticing or picking up the clues that a child has been sexually abused? The perpetrator was not a teacher or anyone who worked at the school.
Just a thought really after I've been completing my e-learning on child and adolescent sexual abuse. The teachers are supposed to be trained on noticing the signs, etc.

if the abuser is a family friend then really its up to the parents to notice really.
unless the child is coming in covered in bruises, or is utterly distraught and terrified or makes strange 'telling' comments then i dont see how teachers can suspect or accuse

The parents see and know far more of the child than the school .
If they did not spot something wrong how can you expect the school to see it?
Over 95% of sexual abuse of children is by the immediate family and unfortunately they normally refuse to see or accept what is under their noses. No hope of sueing the school , that is just a 'get out clause ' for a guilty parent.
