/// Earlier the court heard how Rashid had ‘little experience of women’ due to his education at an Islamic school in the UK, which cannot be named for legal reasons. ///
/// In other interviews with psychologists, Rashid claimed he had been taught in his school that ‘women are no more worthy than a lollipop that has been dropped on the ground’. ///
Then one has to ask, shouldn't these Islamic schools now be closed down, if they are teaching such things?

An enquiry by the governing bodies of this school should be initiated without delay, and I do not understand why this school "cannot be named for legal reasons." as I thought Britain was an open society.

"I am largely against faith schools of all types because it causes division and sends mixed messages to kids about what is and isn't okay within a small religious framework."
I couldn't agree more NOX, the sooner we move towards a secular style French state the better. I have nothing against people who want their kids to be religious, apart from perhaps thinking them a tad misguided, but surely it is their job to inculcate a belief system in a mysterious deity, not the states'?
Furthmore, I was always taught that ignorance was no excuse in the eyes of the law, so they should revisit this case, removing his religion from it, then sentence accordingly.

////And what about this teaching he also had, has this nothing to do with Islam also?///
/// women are no more worthy than a lollipop that has been dropped on the ground ///.
That is the statement I was referring to along with other statements he used to put blame on something or someone else. And that is the reason I would love to ask his teacher that what he based his above statement upon when associating that to Islam. I am 100% sure with my knowledge about Islam that he would not find anything to base that on therefore perhaps better even I would love to ask that person if he believes same for his own mother, daughter or sister. Because if he is Muslim, he is teaching others about Islam then he must apply what he teaches others. I have already written a letter to Muslim council of Britain requesting them to find out the truth behind it. If someone is teaching these sorts of things in the name of Islam then that person should be known to Muslims more than anyone else or otherwise this person should be punished not only for his crime but also for perverting the course of justice.

i am not sure why people are going on about the teacher in this - i doubt very that he even exists - this is a lie cooked up by this lad to get away with it - he knows he can make all these claims and hope people take pity on the poor ignorant boy, and victim of religious intolerance.
he knew what he was doing. this was not some naive innocent fumble that went too far - he sought her out on FB and travelled to see her - knowing full well what he was doing.

We surely must be looking at the House of Lords for the disgusting state of the judicial system. It is amazing that the judges themselves do not question why their hands are tied in many instances. Quite clearly there is an element of the populate which considers it ok to abuse, plead innocence by blaming society and then walk free. This creature Rashid would definitely benefit from a flogging.
