Techie Help Please

I have a 19in monitor with my desktop. Alongside I have a 26in television, linked with a VGA Video Splitter which duplicates whatever is on my monitor to the TV. It has worked fine till now . . . .

The image on tv fills the screen top to bottom but leaves a large blank area to the left and right. I have no idea how to make the picture 'stretch' to full screen.

Anyone know please?

presumably you have remote for telly....does that have screen selector button..?

Meant to say that when I have the telly progs on the picture is full screen.

murraymints - just looked at the manual diagram of the remote. Found screen format button and bingo we have full screen piccy. Many thanks for the tip
