Oh! dear.......why?
How long is a piece of string?
Your surgeon will answer that question based on your recovery, presence or absence of complications and the need for further intrusive procedures.
I would have thought that your badminton raquet will remain quiescent for the next 3 months.

Welcome back again, Mrs O!
When I had my hysterectomy (admittedly 20 years ago) I was told very clearly not to do anything other than walking for twelve weeks. That included hoovering and pushing a loaded supermarket trolley (bliss). I was good and took those three months out of my life to recover, and I've never regretted it. Friends who leapt up and started driving etc after surgery had far more in the way of complications and delayed recovery that I did.

I had major abdominal surgery three ears ago, and then again last summer. In both cases, I wouldn't have been able to take part in any sport for a good couple of months afterwards. I am, though, only a bloke, so what do I know?
One serious point, do be careful if you intend to drive. I was told that under no circumstances should I do so for a minimum of six weeks after the surgery and that my insurers would consider refusing to pay out in the event of a claim.
Best advice is just take it steady and listen to what the surgeons tell you.
All the best.

Sqad's response was similar to the one I got from the two young physiotherapists at my shoulder class last week when I asked them how soon I could do handstands again. ( After dislocating my shoulder in a fall in September.) Why do you still want to (implied "at your age")? OK I am 75 but want to if only to prove I still can, like diving in at the pool, which i did achieve last visit.
