Take out as many parts as you can (battery, DVD drive etc). Leave it spread open and turn it upside down (keyboard / screen face down) to dry out overnight. Because many of the electical components are just under the keyboard it can have lasting problems, and you may find the keyboard stays sticky.
I did this a few years ago (spilt a bowl of corn flakes over my laptop) and now NEVER eat or drink anything near my desktop PC or laptop.
