Leading On From Smow's Insurance Quote, Who To Use?

Currently with local Mutual who have been fairly good except for one claim on buildings....a contribution would have been nice.

Household and contents for my mother £75k of cover, some nominated items, garden included. Just been quoted £214. Relatively low crime area. The premium is considerably less - which gets me suspicious......

Want to compare on this - who would you recommend or which comparison site? There is "Gocompare" obviously but the ads are so naff, I'm almost put off.

We're changing to Sainsbury's , saving £250

Noticed our house insurance had increased to £550+, filled in a Sainsbury's form on line, came up wit a quote of £285, + double nectar points for 2 years

Did mine on Sunday DT, Sheilas Wheels on the Gocompare site.

Just done - looks like I am staying with the Mutual, £85 cheaper than anyone else quoted and then there was a £55 step to number 2, perhaps the effect of bundling with cars, investment properties, buildings all in there......the ridiculous one was some outfit called "getcover.com" who came in with £1650 and no legal cover or home emergency and even a £100 excess when the current policy is zero.
