I'm watching Charlotte Gray starring Kate Blanchett and believe she is one of the best actresses of her generation, but realise I know virtually nothing about her private life.
How do some A list stars like Ms Blanchett and Sigourney Weaver manage to maintain a high degree of personal privacy, yet many lesser recognisable stars are forever complaining about press intrusion into their lives? It can't be lack of interest on the part of the media, surely?

most fame hungry celebs need to be followed and recognised because it makes them feel important, if they don't get it they don't feel whole.

as has been said there are hundreds of super successful actors who you never see in the papers - because thats how they want it to be - tom hanks, eddie murphy, susan sarandon, alan rickman, kathy burke, the list is endless, all much more talented and interesting than girls aloud or the cast of corrie.

the wannabees pull the cap and shades look, which to a paparazzi is like a red flag.

liv tyler is in britain all the time - anyone see her in heat or star or whatever?? no? exactly.
