Anyone Won A Tv Phone-In Comp?

Has anyone here ever won, or know someone who has won, a TV comp like the ones on Loose Women, etc? They are always really easy so thousands must enter either by phone or online. I have only entered via the website as I'm too mean to pay the exhorbitant call charges, though I guess that's how they make their money. I think they do publish winners' names on the website so people do win!

I was just thinking about this the other day. Who wins these things? I've never heard of anyone winning a competiton!

An ABer won the Dickinson's Real Deal phone-in competition.

They get a percentage of the cost of each phone call and that is how they make the money for the prize. They certainly don't do it out of the goodness of their collective hearts. I can't say I have checked but I think that so many people would enter because it is so easy that it is not worth bothering with. Nearly as bad as the lottery.

My neices grandma once won £10000 by entering one of these competitions.

Oh well it's good to know that an ABer was won of the winners, and that snowdrop's niece's grandma did too. I still wonder if any of the winners entered by website (free) or by expensive phone or text, ie is it actually worth entering via the website?

I often wonder if its worth entering on the websites,but everyone is supposed to have the same chance.

I won £2.400 in a website entry of Dickinsons Real Deal. They do print a list online of the winners losgigs

All ITV competitions can be entered online and you get up to six Free entries with each telephone number.

I won an Ipod when ipods were newish by texting in a code from a packet of crisps.

I also won the Betamax challenge on Radio 2 and that was way more fun.

I always think those competitions are really a source of advertising some sort of product or the other, and are gimmicks so I never chance any.
