Photo's On Memory Stick.
10 Answers
My son-in-law has just given me a memory stick with photo's of my grandchildren on it.
I don't have any problems viewing them but how do I save them to my computer so he can have the memory stick back.
Please explain very easy preferably step by step!
Many thanks.

This is all predicated upon using Windows XP as that's when I stopped being a Windows user but should be pretty similar at least up to Windows 7.
Most graphics open automatically thanks to learnt and intentional technology. I suggest you block them 20s or 30s then address menu file for choice of saving and select where in ur Docs you wish save. If you leave technology to save to ur HD you then have to find them. You do not need anything other than MS Word to do all this.
Once you have all the photo (probably.jpg) files visible, press CTRL + A keys to select them all, then CTRL + C to copy them all, then navigate to the folder you want to store them in and press CTRL + V to paste them over ...... it will take a while and you will get graphics of each folder with a visual representation of the pictures "travelling" across to the new folder. Becuase you have copied them, they will then be on the stick AND in the folder on your computer. Hope that helps!
First I would right lick on my PC. Select New- folder and name it.
Plug in stick and ignore any pop ups.
Then I would left click on the folder icon bottom left next to the windows icon.
Choose the icon that is the memory stick and either highlight the folder with the images or open it and click on the first image file
scroll down to the last and pesss the shift ket then enter. All image files are now highlighted.
You can now either right click, copy and paste them to the new folder, or minimise the screen and drag them across to the new folder.
Remove the stick, ideally clicking on the safe to remove icon bottom right, but should not be a concern if you do not, then you can cut and paste the new folder to wherever you want to store it.
In your own time.
I do this every time I transfer photos. Usually from the SD card but a USB stick is exactly the same.
