Opening Attachments In Yahoo Groups

I am using Firefox. I belong to a Yahoo group and folks will insist on putting images as attachments instead of adding them to a Photo album. For some reason I cannot open these attachments so cannot see the images.
Anyone tell me how to enable them? Simple terms for a simple silver surfer please
