The answers are on the theme of new year customs.
UK, making a new years resolution, USA, times square, etc. We found many of the answers on a new year customs site. I have all the answers if you want them, our puzzle now complete.

Denmark is broken dishes, Spain is twelve grapes, Scotland is black bun, Germany is molten lead, Greece is Saint Basil, Switzerland is a drop of cream, Japan is one hundred and eight bells, Armenia is Darin bread, Puerto Rico is pails of water and France is pancakes. The research was very interesting, we think that coming up with clues for the new year customs of places like Armenia was a bit wicked. Hope this helps.
