I have been selling a few bits on e-bay. Now someone has emailed me saying I have put the wrong pic for one jumper. And I have! What is the worst that can happen? It is less than 12 hours to go so can't change it. The description is spot on and I have emailed the highest bidder, although that might all change nearer the end time. What do you think I should do?

You could email the correct photo of the jumper to the highest bidder. That is what I would do, tenrec.

Thanks Sammy. I will do that when the bidding has finished and if they don't want it I can then list it again. Pheww...
I would actually do it before the bidding ends.

Can you not add the correct photo with a footnote.
You could always have a live chat with eBay and get their advice. When I was worried about one of my listings, they were very helpful.

Thanks Mrs chappie. I have had a live chat and they suggest as Sammy 48 says in first post. Thanks for your help folks.
Good aren't they! I was quite impressed at their patience with me. Glad you're sorted.
Here in the U.S. you can always "Edit" your listing... at the very top of the listing this option is listed. Once you click that, you could have added the correct picture and deleted the wrong one.

Additionally, if he listing is bad enough (or for whatever reason you wish) you can enter "Early Ending" in the search function and that will (eventually) lead you to a section where you can terminate the listing, even there's a bid...
That's interesting to know, Clanad, as here in the UK I've found that once a bid has been placed, I can't edit the listing in any way.

Prior to receiving a bid though, I can edit as many times as I like.
