Clanad, the clue is in Harlem. Yes , I know that the Globetrotters never had any more than the name of the place as a connection, but the image is very 'American', as is the game, which is barely played here except as a diversion in school gyms.

Actually, Fred, the Globetrotters did orginate in Harlem... clear back in 1927... originated and managed for several years by Abe Saperstein.

My attempt at humor via your earlier post failed miserably... mostly (in my opinion) because I was relying on the vaunted (and over rated, apparently) British appreciation for the sense of "irony"... in that you believed your inability to play on that team was down to your height, being British and white... I was only attempting to downplay the obvious two... Ah, well...
