Cheap Flights
Would it be wise to go to an airport and wait on a last minute cancellation on a flight that day to Cyprus, also what amount of money would I expect to pay for this if it was to happen, thank for any feedback.

Bear in mind that it's common practice for some airlines to overbook (or it used to be) to allow for people who don't turn up - you're not likely to get a seat at all. Airlines like EasyJet are selling bargain seats for some locations at the moment - check this site to see what's available on the day you want to travel http:// www. skyscanner. net/

Would not recommend last minute but. Depending on which airport you are flying out from BA have changed their flight times Heathrow to Larnaca this year , if you dont mind flying out and back at their new time table (changed for the worse) maybe worth keeping an eye on their offers. Could get yourself a good deal lots of unhappy regular BA flyers jumping ship (or planes should that be).

Most airlines increase their prices the nearer you get to the departure date and charge the absolute maximum to anyone who wants to travel at the last minute. So you should look directly at the websites of the relevant airlines.

Skyscanner (as recommended above) is a good starting point but it often fails to list the cheapest flights. Budget airlines do their very best to keep their fares off such sites.
Further, if you're thinking of travelling in the near future you'll find your options for flights to Cyprus extremely limited. Most services to Cyprus are 'summer only' and you'll have very little choice at this time of the year.
