Digi-Cam batteries

We've just bought a Panasonic digital camera that takes AA batteries. The instructions recommend AA oxyride, AA alkaline batteries or AA rechargeable Ni-MH batteries.

Question is: anyone know where to buy these batteries cheap?

and

i already have a battery charger - is it ok to use with 'Ni-MH' batteries, or do i need a special type of charger?

Ni-MH batteries need to be charged with a Ni-MH compatible charger (often these are switchable between Ni-MH & NiCad).

One source of cheap batteries is ebay.

charger: read it's instructions and see what it can charge. if you're unsure DONT try it as you'll end up with some very small bombs.

also sell chargers.. you can get good, fast chargers there that come with batteries. go for uniross or hama or some other make you know of with the chargers. and always use the same battery manufacturer combinations.

Just bought a charger/batteries for my camera. Don't forget if you intend using it on holiday, get a charger that works on both 240V and 110V.

I, too, have a digital camera and use to use rechargeables but the recharging process was not satisfactory. I have had good results with Amazon alkaline batteries at £5.00 for 20 so will continue to do so.
