Driving to work today, I hit some black ice ended up mounting a verge on the left hand side lost control of Zeb and she spun out, I ended up facing the opposite direction slamming into the kerb with some force.
Is it only the tracking and balancing I need checking or should I get other stuff checked?
Sorry to hear of your accident. Hope you are ok.
Tyres for bulging or damage to side walls although the garage should check them when doing checks you have mentioned.
I'd get that looked at - if you tell a reasonable tyre place what's happened they should be able to tell you if there's any damage to other suspension components too in which case they'd probably advise you to go to a garage to get them fixed.
Tracking is likely to be affected, possibly damage to a wheel depending on how hard the impact was possibly trackrod ends, worst case steering rack.
Anything more than tracking and track rod ends I'd get a second opinion
Tyre, Wheel, Tracking, Lower Wishbone, Possible Suspension damage Fried, I have also seen damage within the area where the Front sub frame is bolted to the body of the car, the N/S/ needs to be thoroughly inspected, but that's my view.
its needs to go on a 4 wheel allignment system,if its hit the kerb that hard the chances are something is bent i would be surprised if there wasnt. Many vehicles have suspension arms manufactured from aluminium/alloy so it doesnt take a lot.
As a bodyshop we deal with this scenario on a day to day basis...
also your lubricant sump, check that this is not cracked......though a 4x4 should give you some space on the undercarriage......a good mechanic will go under a pit and have a good look for you.
