However you might find that there's a bit of flexibility if you phone in advance.

EastZEast, on Princess Street, is within a 10 minute walk. Its nominal closing time is 11.30pm but, again, you might find a bit of flexibility if they know that you're coming:

Zouk might be your best option though. It's a 10 minute walk away and opens until midnight:

Ah sorry, didn't see the Indian bit!
I'd recommend Akhbars every time, would be my top choice of Indian resturant in Manchester generally (and I live right by the Curry Mile). It's on Liverpool Road which, from the BWH is a good 15 minute walk and, unless they have changed their policy, they don't do bookings, people go in and wait and it's very popular. Shouldn't be too bad late on on a Tuesday though.
Where is your train going from? Bit of a hike from Piccadilly and Victoria. Not far from Deansgate though.

EastZEast is good too - it being on Princess Street it is a far more convenient location if you are going to Piccadilly Station.
Zouk is also round the same area(ish), it's more away from Piccadilly than EastZEast. I've never been and don't tend to hear it mentioned so can't comment though there is a new Zouk fast food place not long opened on the busier side of Oxford Road which looks good and always seems busy.

Thanks for your answers jenna. The concert overran so we were limited for time to get from the excellent Bridgewater hall to Piccadilly station. I knew there was a Burger king on the station, as I got there they pulled the shutters down, so we ended up eating a French savory bunny thing from another stall:-(
