I've been to the pub to meet with friends and two of them brought along some samosas. One was haggis filled and the other was black pudding.

They went down remarkably well with a pint!

What snack would you like to hand when having a drink?

bombay mix, crisps, indian samosas, peanuts, cheese and biscuits...uummm
Salt and vinegar or smoky bacon crisps. I love salted peanuts but bit naughty.

I'd eat cheese and biscuits anytime :)

Mmmm, I might raid the cupboard and see if there are some peanuts - I haven't had any in ages.

I had four samosas and am now not overly hungry but do need to think about what I'm having for supper/snack with wine this evening.
Bombay Mix, dry roasted peanuts, cashews, pretzels or tortilla chips
crisps, peperami and cheese, all together. Chop up peperami and cheese, throw in to a bag of crisps (preferably ready salted), shake bag about a bit, wallah.....the perfect pub snack :D oh, and nothing wrong with putting some cashews in too, for added crunchiness.
The best thing to have with a pint is another pint!

However I remember with a certain fondness those pubs in Sheffield and Rotherham (where I used to drink) which would bring the free Yorshire Puds out on a Sunday lunchtime, together with a big communal bowl of onion gravy to dip them in.
That reminds me of a pub quiz I used to go to on a Sunday night, they'd bring any roast potatoes leftover from Sunday lunches down to hand out.
There are quite a few pubs round here where, if you brought your own food in, neither the food nor you would remain very long!
Pint of 6x and a pork pie.

The very small back of beyond pub I go to only does food at lunchtime so they are not too bothered about us bringing in our own snacks from time to time.

Sunday lunchtime they do bring out cracking herb coated roast potatoes, we don't bother with our own snacks on a Sunday!
Sounds brilliant. Whereabouts?
The wonderful Kings Head in Norwich (where I may well be tomorrow afternoon) doesn't do food but they actually advertise the services of a nearby takeaway, so that you can have food with your pint. Now, what shall I have to drink?

Have a Ole Slewfoot Orange Blossom Special for me, please. Appears tasty!
My favourite is plain ritz crackers with primula cheese spreadon top then topped
with almost anything, anchovies, tinned smoked mussels, sundried tomatoes,
smoked salmon, then you can make it all look very impresive by fine chopped black olives to sprinkle over the sundried toms or chopped green olives over
your salmon. Anything with lots of colour red onion red pepper it's endless. The smoked mussels are from sainsburys and they do the best sundried toms.
Absolutely nothing!
Roast potatoes.
