I've recently bought the X5 green thing they keep advertising. It's very good on hard floors. Produces loads of steam and the attachments work well. Only disadvantage is it does make the floor quite wet as does the window cleaning bit. It certainly brings my floors up very clean very easily though.
My 'lady who does' has got one that she bought from a shopping channel. It does a fantastic job all through the house. She had a problem at the beginning as she had it on maximum steam setting, and it left everywhere very wet. Once she adjusted this to minimum, (1 -2 setting) it was much better, and performed just as well.
It leaves everywhere just sparkling, particularly grout, sinks, showers. She just uses maximum to steam down the drains.

Here you are, fruitsalad. My only reservation about it is that it looks a bit insubstantial, as it is made of plastic. But it does a very good job.

I have a Hometek, it was great on the ceramic tiles in my old kitchen. Wasn't impressed with the carpet-cleaning ability though.
I'd had it for about two years when it blew up. Hometek replaced it for me, FOC, although I had no receipt or box. I was impressed with that.
Very rarely use it now, since moving house.
