My father explained that I was having a diabetic hypo? Anxiety and that I was really sorry. It was quite an insignificant incident and I have blown it out of proportion because of anxiety the anxious thoughts are coming in and telling me my father hasnt really been or this will make matters worse so I have written those opposing thoughts down and ripped them up.

Do you have a CPN that you can get in touch with. He/she would be able to listen to you and help you decide what to do.
Paranoia is something that can get really bad unless you do something about it. Is your current mental state a state that you have been in before or has something new triggered it off.
I am diabetic too and have been advised that I don't need to check my blood sugar levels as the blood tests that I get every three months give a better picture of how thing are.
Go to your doctor - he/she may refer you to the psychiatrist as an emergency appointment. I was once seen by the psychiatrist on the same day that I went to the GP.
Sometimes, when my mental health is bad, I can work through it myself (with a little help from Lithium and Setraline) but it takes a long time.
It sounds like you need some professional help - drugs or counselling.
Mental Health problems are badly understood by those who do not suffer from them. I survive on a day to day basis but feel safer if I don't leave the house. This has prevented me from visiting my lovely brother and his family for too many years. A trip to the vets or Tesco is as far as I get.
Paranoia is horrible - it is very destructive frame of mind.
I hope that you manage to get control of your brain back.
Susan (and Princess Merlin - long haired moggie who is lying on my arms).

Gordie, at least you are recognising it for what it is, and thank goodness you have your parents to help you. Go and see the doc, don't hang about, explain the symptoms you have been having since you went on the new medication - there may be something the doc can do about it. Don't suffer - you need to keep the GP informed. Nobody's out to get you, this is a side-effect and it's been addressed, so you can be comfortable about that now. xxx to the kitten - you need to go home to look after Kitty!
