As others have indicated, GIMP is the only free image-manipulation software which comes anywhere close to the mighty Photoshop. However it's worth noting that (just like Photoshop) it's got a very steep learning curve. I strongly recommend downloading ALL of the documentation which goes with it, not just the program itself.

There are ways and means, but you must not on any account go to Piratebay's proxy site and download CS6 then put the amt.dll file in that makes it all work and is not malware even though it might show up as such (Virus Total shows it as a false positive). So don't do that because it's illegal, ok?

The foregoing posts are totally outrageous. Some of us got our versions of Photoshop from properly-labelled CDs!!! (Even if those labels were actually hand-written!).

Dreamweaver equivalent - Aptana is good, but there's plenty of other text editiors.
Flash - no real open source equivalent - although you can author *.swf files in Aptana/Flex and never need open Flash. Alternatively, just use JavaScript and Ajax instead !

Any idea where a bad person would be able to buy a proper OS (MS) for a laptop - one with a proper (handwritten) label. I know a bad person who wants/needs an OS and I need to know where he should go for the OS.

If youre going down the torrent route
then make sure its one of "thehingys" uploads they are the best of the lot, so ive been told -;

Kickass or Piratebay, but you'll need to use one of TPB proxies Google is your friend.

If you need an operating system, the same, get a torrent , it will be an iso format, make a bootable disc image from it, using something like Daemontools to mount the burn/image and off you go

Thethingy's copy is good. The amt.dll file may show up as unsafe, but it's ok.
