I've had a few teeth out last year, and the worst bit is your mouth gradually return to normal after the local anaesthetic is wearing off. The only thing that I have felt is a fair amount of pressure on your mouth as he's pulling the tooth out - but he's never hurt me.
Best of luck with your appointment.

It doesn't hurt when they're pulling it out.
It can ache a bit afterwards when the anaesthetic wears off. The trick is to take some paracetamol or ibuprofen before it wears off, then take painkillers regularly afterwards for about a day until the pain has gone.
Getting a molar out can be noisy, though....they're so near your ear.
It will be fine. Good luck.
