Oh Bugger!

Was Mr Smow's birthy yesterday. Bought a couple of bottles of bubbly and stuck one in the freezer to chill quicker. We had the other one and went out for dinner, and yes, I forgot it!
Woke up this morning and opened the freezer and it had completely exploded! Glass everywhere, and a wondeful slush puppy of frozen bubbly.

What a waste!!

Smow, you are obviously having a weekend like mine.

Made some macaroons - disaster. Wine box leaked in fridge = no wine and having to clean the fridge AGAIN which is annoying because I only did it yesterday.

Have just put some bread in the breadmaker. Unfortunately, I lost count when putting the cups of bread in. So not only will we probably have terrible bread, I've discovered I can't count to 4.

I've done that with wine quite a few times. Luckily just the screw top pops off so you only lose a minimal amount. Still annoying though.

My cruddy weekend so far has been not being able to open gas box to top up the meter thanks to the soddin scaffolidng.
Mr Alba sorted it, he moved the scaffolding. It's not just me who is green :-D

Lol, probably. Still surprised that such thick glass such as a bottle of bubbly would shatter like that. Shards of glass everywhere.

A bucket of ice is the quickest way to cool a bottle of bubbles or any wine for that matter. Not water with ice in it but just ice packed round the bottle
