Recovered from this?

Sorry old bean, and all the best of luck for tomorrow's big derby clash in the cup. I really do wish you had beaten them.

I am confidently predicting Linfield will NOT lose in the Cup tomorrow.

Still, 12 games unbeaten ain't too bad......

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21375778
We've not lost to them since OK became manager. I'd forgotten we were playing the Reds the other night tbh and happened on the latest score with 3 mins to go! An entirely predictable result I'm afraid esp missing Lowry and no doubt with one eye on tomorrow.
Big weekend what with the English in Dublin on Sunday and I'm currently watching Ulster somehow not losing to the Ospreys...
Never in doubt :-) - despite a shockingly poor first goal given away. And a home tie next...

Ulster didn't quite manage not to lose, but Coleraine must surely have cheered you up.
Rugby bad - apart from the women - football good. Such is the up and down nature of being a sports fan. Followed Coleraine game by sneakily hitting update button on phone in car while driving home. Three goals went in on the journey including 2 in last 3 minutes!

Tut, tut. I was at Sunderland v Arsenal sampling the hospitality, so had to rely on text updates from friends back home.

You should see off Portydown and make the semis. Avoid Crusaders or Cliftonville and get perhaps one of the weakest Glentoran teams I can remember and you're in the Final? Then again, the best laid plans and all that.........
A friend of mine was at that game. Did you get the match programme?

Portadown is still a tough draw. The other 'seeded' teams have it a lot easier. If we did get to the final I'd want to go as I've missed our last two in 2004 and 2008
And a wee win over those Shamrock Rovers at the Tallaght tonight as well ...

I did get gramme, free as part of the deal. £55 for a match ticket, programme, pretty good food, excellent padded seats behind the goal and a cash bar, not to mention a member of the 1973 FA Cup winning side who, as a Leeds fan, was of little interest to me.

Setanta Cup first round - results

ST PATRICK'S ATHLETIC 0
GLENTORAN 0

CORK CITY 4
Morrissey 16, Turner pen 26, 45+1, Kavanagh 69
CLIFTONVILLE 0

SHAMROCK ROVERS 0
COLERAINE 1
Scullion 45+3

DROGHEDA UTD 3
R Brennan 8, O'Connor 14, G Brennan 60
PORTADOWN 2
A Burns 25, Braniff 43

Great result for Coleraine and quite good all round for the IL, with even Cliftonville's being partially excused as it was a greatly weakened side. Strange decision by Tommy Breslin though, as they are well clear in the League. When Big DJ did it in recent years we were locked in a real battle for the league at the time.
