Music Magpie For Selling

Has anyone used musicmagpie to sell unwanted CDs? If so is it worth it i your opinion? Also any alternatives to music magpie or eBay ? TIA

Yes i did, sold about 100 CD's and got 40 odd quid.

Not a whole lot mind you,but a lot more than what I'd have got if id binned them, as not even charity shops seem keen on taking them now.

It's convenient- you enter the bar code, they tell you a price. If you want to sell they send you a prepaid postage envelope. They pay you quickly by bank transfer.
The downside is that the prices offered may seem low- typically around 30p-70p.
I once bought a job lot of CDs from a charity stall and sold them at a small profit on Music Magpie

Not really, evedawn, but I was out of work at the time and saw the chance to make a couple of pounds and help a charity stall. After factoring in the 45 minute round trip walk to the PO maybe it wasn't worth it. I didn't bother again
Using MM is worth it though if you have some CDs you want to get rid of and don't think you could sell easily on ebay

Zapper.co.uk are also quite good for buying and selling things. I had a load of stuff that Music Magpie were only offering about a fiver for I got £25 at Zapper. It pays to shop around

I have used MusicMagpie to sell CDs, DVDs, clothes and old DS games and got almost £100 back. I'm fortunate in that I could drop it off at my local Spar just round the corner for them to collect it and didn't have to trek to the post office! :)
