Dvd Audio
3 Answers
Why is the audio on dvds so quiet. When I play them on tv I have to have to turn the volume up really high on my set. And if I try to watch with headphones it is so low that it isn't really worth it.This has been the situation with 2 tvs and 3 dvd players. And I don't have this problem when I play them on a computer.
I didn't have this problem with videos, which I still maintain were a more user friendly format.

Thankyou for your answers.I consulted the manufacturers of the dvd player,Phillips, and the tv,Sony, and neither could help.As the tv is an old one they didn't have the manual on file and so the couldn't even recommend a general setting for the volume offset which I found in the menu. But I also found a volume control for the tv in the menu and I adjusted that and it seems to have solved the problem.
