Quick Bit Of Advice Needed... Row At Work!
12 Answers
Morning all!
I had a bit of a falling out with one of my managers last night and he has asked me to put my grievances in to an email and send them to him to raise at the next managers meeting! Here's the issue, I think he knows he was in the wrong and has given me a email address that I do not recognise as a company one. There is a distinct lack of communication where I work and would never know if he hadn't raised my issues....
So... would you, if you were me cc in the other managers on the original mail to make sure they saw it?

But if you have issues with your direct manager and you are not able to sort them then you should be able to raise them with his direct manager - they should not really be discussed at a managers meeting.
I would copy his manager in.

Thank you all... I will cc in his manager.... Its so hard as I work on line and there is never any face to face contact [or even by phone] so things do tend to get blown out of proportion. All I know is he has reported me for out 'discussion' last night but with no explanation, I'm just grateful that Skype saves all conversations!!!!

e-mail him on company e-mail cc boss, mention that he had requested you to send the e-mail to him on an address that you did not know and that you were "distinctly uncomfortable" with this.
first though, in the cold light of day, do you wish to raise last night as a formal complaint.....if so, then write it, sit on it for a couple of hours and come back to it before sending.....you may change a few things and down play emotion.....it becomes more powerful that way.

Humbersloop....
I was made up to manager 2 months ago and have had no formal training, I made one small mistake last night, well I didn't even get to make it as I asked him for help as my line manager. We agreed it was a simple mistake to make and then he just went on and on and on at me about it... So I pointed out that I had no training in that area.
Instead of leaving it at that it got out of hand hence him asking me to put it in a mail to his address... I have written the mail to all three managers [its a small firm] and will cc in the owner/big boss.

Just to finish this thread...I took advice form a former manager at my company and only sent the mail the manager concerned. I will now wait a week or so and then ask the manager [the owner of the company] above my line manager what he thought of the points I raised in said mail. If he doesn't know what I am talking about then I can send him a copy.... watch this space lol
Thank for all your help
