Does anyone know the legal height of a restriction plate (council's wording)?
It is the sign saying the terms of whether your can park there or not?
Does it have to agree with the markings on th curb stones?
I would imagine that it has to match the kerb markings, either could be challenged otherwise. The signs round here are about 7ft above pavement level, if that helps.
The markings on the kerb stones have got absolutely nothing to do with parking anyway. They only restrict loading, not parking.
If there are double yellow lines, there is no need for any restriction plate (since they apply 24 hours). If there are single yellow lines, you're obliged to consult the plate to check the restrictions.
