Quite unusual to have two nights in a row where you can actually see any stars. Didn't manage to see the asteroid despite having lined up where it was about to pass (clouds rolled in!). Jupiter was brilliant with the shadow of Europa crossing. Last night looked at Jupiter, Pleiades, Orion nebula and Andromeda galaxy. It's mind blowing to realise how far and how long the light has travelled from some of these objects before it hits our retinas!
We have a lovely clear sky here in Bedfordshire this morning. It was a clear starry night. Very frosty now though. I forgot about the asteroids. Are they still around tonight?
