Whilst admittedly on one hand one feels a sense of "he got what the State should have dished out" it does make you wonder how these things happen in a secure unit.
Surely these prisoners should be guarded closely so how to two get close enough to murder someone?
I suppose i'll get slated for this but as far as i am concerned he got what he deserved and I don't particularly care how it happened. Sorry, but as a father and grandfather, this type of child cruelty abhors me.
Theres always a pecking order in prison. Even on 'nonces' wings or vunerable prisoners units some offenders are more at risk of attack than others. I'm an ex con, seen it all the time. The only way for some offenders to be secure is to constantly get themselves put in segregation. But then you have to deal with some of the more sadistic screws. Prison is not the holiday camp that the media portray.
At first glance WELSHY, yes. But who knows. prison is a very strange place. Ive been locked up with murderers and they have been some of the most generous, friendly people you could meet. Also been locked up with smack heads who would cut your throat for a bit of tobacco.
I have just finished reading Call Me Charlie - autobiography of Lord Brocket. Really good read and recounts how close he came to getting killed in prison. Seems that in some jails all the inmates are vulnerable.
