All that we get from the link is that the accused invited the two girls and became angry when they refused - a fight ensued, with some other men, not with the girls

I would suggest that your use of the phrase /trying to get two teenage girls into his car/
suggests physical coercion associated usually with child abduction
/is not cause to call the police?/

Of which, in reality, there is no mention

Either you knew that but misrepresented it deliberately
or you imagined it as more than it actually was for reasons best left unfathomed

His co-defendants do not appear to have got the same result, do they?

scumbag should have got 18 months pokey, he would serve about six by which time he would have been forgotten. It's not , according to the report , his first offence.

I would suggest your use of the phrase 'Invited, suggest he requested their presence or participation of in a kindly, courteous, or complimentary way, Of which, in reality, it mentioned 'and tried to persuade them to get into the car with him'.

Usual story of 'star' who is involved in serious assault getting off with it as his friends take the rap for him and are sent down

Same happened with Steven Gerrard, assaulted a DJ in a bar (caught on CCTV) but got off as friends went to jail instead

There was no evidence that Gerrard assaulted anybody; the CCTV didn't show that. The case had to proceed on the basis that his presence was somehow encouraging or contributing to illegal violence. Since mere presence is never enough to make a person guilty and there was no further evidence to show an active encouragement in crime he was acquitted. It's tempting to think that he was prosecuted because he was Steve Gerrard; that otherwise the press and others would ask why he wasn't charged and say he had special treatment, and so, to avoid that, he was prosecuted on what was really a non-starter.
