Army Service Records On Find My Past
Hi guys, would someone please check the 1861 World Wide Army Index entries for Thomas Binns birn 1835 Todmorden., one is a shoeing smith and 3 are privates (may even be duplicates for him)., his baby son dies in june 1861 but i think Thomas may have died around that time also.

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.well I'm not sure what these records could have, if it was later it would have age description enlistment and home address plus date of birth but possibly they are enlistement into the Union (or confederate ) army and so maybe very little! He may have enlisted at Bradford I guess, but he was definately born in Tod (well Stansfield) and he was dead by 1863.
