Please can you tell me the formula for converting miles to metres. I want to do it in Excel. So I enter the miles in one column and then in another column it will tell me how many metres. Many thanks for your help.

you could use the CONVERT() function https://office.microsoft.com/en-us/excel-help/convert-measurements-HP003056127.aspx

If it's for converting distance run into metres I'd just use 1 mile = 1.6 meters, or 5 miles = 8 kilometres

Of course I meant 1 mile = 1.6 KILOmetres
