Thanks for the previous answer to my query about radio fuse location. The fuse is OK but still have no display at all so cannot enter code. Tried a cassette but no joy. Cassette will not eject no doubt due to lack of power. Does the unit itself have a fuse or is there something else I can try?

most radio cassette units units do have a fuse on the inside clipped near the rear of the circuit board
all ford units of this era do have an independant fuse. it is smaller than the conventional blade fuses used in you fuse box and is usually found near the wiring harness socket at the rear of the radio. your local motor spares shop will stock replacements.

Thank you both. Radio examined and blown fuse replaced. Code entered and presto, we have sound. Best regards.
