Nissan Sunny 1.3 Manual 1987 Starting Problem
Hi I have a weird problem where I go to start to start my car no matter weather conditions and it turns over really slowy as if the battery is flat, if not at at all, and then if I still continue to keep the key turned fully on it fires up properly and starts normally. I have tried a long rong run and then tried to start it, but it does exactly the same, very slow turn over and then fire up normally. Any ideas?

It sounds like the starter motor is getting ready to die on you, either the electrical switch contacts inside are worn out and arcing and making poor contact or the motor carbon brushes are worn out or stuck in the brush holders, either way you had better be ready for ''instant death'' of your starter soon, probably when you really need the car the most.
Apart from the obvious problems of battery, wiring and starter, it could be a worn distributor, usually springs, causing the timing to be too far advanced when starting and causing kick back, you can sometimes hear it pinking. Could also be a leaking head gasket or badly worn valve stems causing a hydraulic lock in a cylinder or even a bent con rod.
