Any recommendations for the best cold war novels to read?

Im looking for the classic type spy/cold war novel, with spies and counterspies, military secrets, defections and betrayals, brinskmanship between governments and security agencies, undercover operations etc. I don't what something in the James Bond genre which always seemed very glamourous in comparsion to reality.

I'm trying to draw up a list of the ten best to read.

I have the obvious Le Carre threesome of The Spy Who Came In From the Cold, Tinker Tailor etc and The Honourable Schoolboy

Any other suggestions?

Philip Kerr, Berlin Noir is a good read, there are other Cold War novels by him too.

William Boyd has written a couple too which are quite interesting.

i love "the enemy" by desmond bagley
Stella Rimington, ex head of MI5 is an author I've read a few of her books, very good.
The Manchurian Candidate..........same era.
Pretty much all of Len Deightons novels, i would have thought, from the Harry Palmer books such as the Ipcress File, through to the Bernard Samson Game Set and Match and Hook, Line and Sinker trilogies....
Mr Rosie def agrees with LazyGun - he might think of some more in aminute
Two Graham Greene novels top my list of all time favorites. The Third Man[i and [i]Our Man in Havana[i]. Both books suffered from being overshadowed by movies that were made from them (although both movies were excellent).

I would also add [i]The Day of the Jackal[i] by Frederick Forsyth and last but not least, [i]Little America] set in 1958, by Henry Bromell...
Some novels on cold war are as follows:
The Rise and Fall of Communism by Archie Brown
The Cold War: A New History by John Lewis Gaddis
Gulag: A History by Anne Applebaum
Stalin: The Court of the Red Tsar by Simon Sebag Montefiore
Smiley's People
