I am waiting to change over from Virgin to BT for phone, tv and broadband but due to a mix-up because Virgin require 30days notice to leave them we won't be getting BT for another two weeks. All the stuff has been delivered and I am wondering if we could connect the Youview box to our LG Smart Tv to use for recording in the meantime? I know we won't be able to get iplayer etc but thought I might be able to record with it. Also might BT not be happy that we are using it before being connected properly? TIA -rosy

Although BT provide Youview boxes, they're nothing to do with BT, per se. (You can buy them from Argos, for example, to be used with any broadband provider). Thank you for that Chris, I knew I could depend on AB. I was hoping to be able to connect it up without using the broadband for now, just to get used to it before the engineer comes and thanks to your link it looks as if I can do that that via the aerial:o) (If I read it correctly, of course?) Thanks again -rosy
