Does anyone have a complete package from Sky e.g Broadband, unlimited day and off peak phone calls, and a Sky+ box to record programmes too? I have my BB router upstairs, the main TV downstairs and another TV upstairs in the bedroom.

I am nearly at the end of a Talktalk contract (just have phone calls + BB with them) at a cost of about £27 month and we have a TV Sky Entertainments+ package for about £25 month.

This cost is excessive for both companies combined, but I want to find out if others on AB have just Sky for everything and what they think to the service before I ring Sky and/or Talktalk and get into the endless "press button" jargon talk and trying to understand their accent if the call centre is in India - very time consuming and frustrating.

Do you recommend I do this all-in-one service and what about the cost please? I have tried to decipher their website but its not very clear to me, perhaps someone could be kind and explain in simple terms. Many thanks!

Hi Ann, we have this service with sky, we currently pay about £100 per month for all the above plus multi room in two rooms and hd. We have the full television package with sky minus sports. I find sky customer services one of the best I have dealt with, (and if you take your phone line with them all calls to them are free) the biggest bonus being that their call centre is in Scotland, so you only have to understand the Scottish accent and not the ones from abroad.
Hi Ann. We have the very basic channels via the Virgin Tivio box, broadband, phone line, free calls 24 hour per day, up to 150 free minutes per month for either mobile or 0845 calls all for £30 per month.
I must admit we have been with them for 3+ years and were talking about leaving them before they negotiated the deal but it's worth thinking about.
I think it's a buyer's market at the moment.
I have Sky for everything, it costs me £58.75 for entertainment plus HD package (no films or sport) along with phone and BB. We also have International phone numbers blocked which costs a couple of quid out of the above figure.
By the way, Sky call centre is usually in Scotland and their operatives tend to be Scottish or occasionally English. It is a very easy service to transfer to and they are very helpful in explaining anything you don't understand.
I've got the whole HD tv package, multiroom in one room, BB, line rental and any anytime call package, costs about £105 per month.
I tried to get the unlimited broadband package but it's not available in my area. Ho hum.
I went for BT instead.
By the way, she didn't bother telling me I wasn't getting what I asked for. It was only when I picked it up on her recap that she had to tell me and I immediately withdrew, partly because it wasn't what I wanted and partly because I don't like being had over by sales people.
It was also interesting that it took 40 minutes for my sales call to get answered. I wonder how long it is when they're not trying to take my money.
Sky entertainment Package £21.50
BB £7.50 (unlimited)
Talk anytime £7.50 (or jus weekends free if you take their line rental
Line Rental £14.50
Multiroom £10.25

If you want HD, it'll be about a tenner on top.
Sorry, Talk anytime is £5
Just to add, Sky are quite willing to throw a few discounts about to retain custom.
