I tried renewing norton but they emailed a subscription key that is invalid. I have therefore requested a refund, however I can't now seem to work out how to uninstall norton as- I've disabled it but the popups are still coming. If i go to remove programmes then only liveupdate is there and I am unable to remove it. Please help

The usual way to uninstall Norton is to insert the original installation CD and select the uninstall option when prompted.

Thanks you guys for your input. I, too, have had a problem with Norton. Tried to update to 2006 Internet Security (Norton) and couldn't because LiveReg was still in the programs list from the previous installation. Haven't been able to budge it. Tried Norton online help (as Potatoman's advice) - I got tied up in knots because I had to go from one link to another until so frustrated I could have hurled my pc out of the window! Then I tried Dodgyshirt's advice and thought I had it cracked. But no! I've given up now and am leaving LiveReg in situ to smirk at me every time I look in my task manager list! Have now installed AVG.
